Harare Hustle Pan-Seared Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 beef sirloin or rump steaks (about 250g each)
  • 2 teaspoons Harare Hustle Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method

  1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with kitchen paper.
  3. Rub each steak with the vegetable oil, then coat evenly with the Harare Hustle Seasoning.
  4. Heat a heavy frying pan or griddle over high heat until very hot.
  5. Cook the steaks for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, depending on thickness and your preferred level of doneness.
  6. Transfer the steaks to a warm plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Lowveld Heat Crispy Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lowveld Heat Seasoning

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with kitchen paper to help them crisp during cooking.
  3. Place the wings in a large bowl. Add the vegetable oil and Lowveld Heat Seasoning, then toss until every wing is evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a lined baking tray, leaving a little space between each one.
  5. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, turning the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown, crisp and cooked through.
  6. Leave the wings to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
